My Astronomy Wiki

Wiki Description: During this project we had to research facts about astronomy, insert the facts into a presentation, and use the pictures and facts from the presentation to make a online comic book about our solar system. We must include all the facts about the places we visit, including all eight planets, a galaxy besides our own,moons, comets, asteriods, meteriods, and giant stars (that we had to make up).Supposedly, we had been choosen by NASA to fly a unique space shuttle that could travel around the universe in search to find several diverse objects from outer space.Our job during this "space adventure"  is to collect as much information as we can about every object we visit. Some of this informations is about what the objects do in outer space and how they help our galaxy. During this journey we must take pictures so when we get back to earth, we can show NASA all the objects there are in space and all the information we learned.

Wiki Requirements:

1. Front Page:

• A title
• A picture of your spaceship you used in the comic
• The name of everyone in your group - Only your first name
• Embed the Google Presentation Research Notes
• Embed the Quicktime Movie (slideshow) of your Astronomy Comic Book
• A description of the Astronomy Project Wiki - DO NOT just copy and paste what I have written above.

2. Side Bar: 

• Copy and Paste the ENTIRE Side Bar from Mr. Ozeni's Astronomy Project Wiki, which includes the "Table of Contents", the "Research Links" and the "Quick Links" into your group's side bar

• Remember, every page in your Wiki should be one click away.

3. Task List: 

• Although Mr. Ozeni can see who has edited the Wiki, there are more that is involved in creating a Wiki.  It is important that your group list the task each individual in your group has completed.
• Copy and Paste the Task List Template that Mr. Ozeni has created for you.

4. Astronomy Project Packet via Google Docs

• Each group will get an Astronomy Project Packet shared through Google Docs.  Your job is to:
  1. Use the Packet to create your Research Notes via Google Presentations. 
  2. After creating the Research Notes, use the packet and notes to create the Comic Book
  3. Use the packet to export the comic book to a Quicktime Movie (slideshow) and also to save each page as an Image
  4. The images of each page from the Comic book will be Inserted into the Astronomy Project Wiki
